About Us
Helen Zhang | Co-founder & CEO
Raised on a pig farm in rural China by parents with limited formal education, Helen's journey took an unexpected turn when she immigrated to the U.S. without knowing anyone. Balancing full-time college and working in a restaurant with two young children at home was a formidable challenge, but after four years of hard work, Helen not only gained valuable management experience but also graduated with honors. Progressing from a cashier to a General Manager in fast food and later from a financial analyst to a financial services provider, Helen never stops growing and learning. In 2024, Helen achieved a new milestone—an advanced degree in business. Residing in the Triangle Area in NC with her two children, Helen finds joy in hiking, jogging, CrossFit, and cooking. With her Certified Management Accountant and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications, completion of NWC’s bETA Accelerator program, B.S. in Accountancy from Oregon State University, and MBA from Duke University, Helen is ready to take on the role of entrepreneur through acquisition.
John Hoffman | Co-founder & CFO

Other positions he held included Purchasing Manager and IT manager. Drawn to sunny Las Vegas, John climbed from controller to Plant Manager in titanium production over eight years during which he applied his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt skills for continuous improvement at the plant. In the last two years, he's been a CFO in the construction industry for 12 Southwest locations. John enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his three children whom he coached throughout their childhoods.
